Coliseum's Ryan Patterson on Obama vs. Bush
"The differences between Obama and Bush are so far and wide for me to cover them would be pointless," Coliseum frontman Ryan Patterson recently told Noisecreep. "It's obvious in every decision made and every word spoken," continues Patterson. "He is an intelligent, caring person who has the best interests of Americans at heart, in fact, the best interests of people the world over. I think anyone who supported him realized that things weren't going to change overnight, it was going to be a long road. The Bush administration essentially took a shit on the entire world and now we're all trying to clean it up. The economic recovery is truly beyond me, I hope things won't get worse, but greed and consumerism is a hard beast to tame. At the moment, I am happy for the small victories – the changes in diplomacy, the support of stem cell research, the reversal of the 'Mexico City policy,' hopefully a removal of 'don't ask, don't tell.' These are the simple, almost common sense, things that the Bush administration opposed based on ignorance and pseudo-religious grounds that I'm glad to see changing quickly."
Coliseum is currently on tour with Napalm Death.
