White Noise: Kiss, Vader, Lacuna Coil, Skinlab, Killswitch Engage and More
+ Speaking of Kiss, Bravewords reports that the band's forthcoming album, which is due in September, will be called '360.' There have been a ton of rumors about the album's potential title, so take this one with a grain of salt. The LP will be the band's first in more than ten years, and this fall, Kiss will be touring in support of the effort. So far, we know of at least one Kiss appearance in the states, and that will go down at the Milwaukee Summerfest on June 27.
+ Hatebreed just released a covers album called 'For The Lions,' and now, the guys are headed back to the studio to begin work on new songs. According to Lambgoat, tracking will take place with Zeuss at Planet Z Recording in Massachusetts. The band hopes to have the disc ready in time for an October release.
+ Vader will issue their new disc, 'Necropolis,' in August. Frontman Piotr "Peter" Wiwczarek says the band finished recording the disc on Monday, and "the result is tremendous. [The] new songs sound powerful and still mysterious. It will contain 11 songs," including "Rise Of The Undead," "We Are Horde," and "When The Sun Drowns In Dark."
+ If you've been waiting for the new Skinlab album, keep waiting. The band has taken a break from the studio, which means the disc won't be out any time soon. Skinlab is back in the studio, to re-track drums, so, now, the album will be out "before the end of the summer. Patience is definitely the key to making a great album and so far most of our time has been spent on detail and making sure tunings are perfect, to be on track," the band says in a statement.
+ Carpathian Forest is down a member, following the departure of guitarist Tchort. In a statement, he says he's starting a new band, "and I can't wait to see unexplored depths of hell with the new stuff. I am confident that I will find a killer lineup and be back to f*ck you up."
+ Lacuna Coil have released dates for their upcoming U.S. run with Kill Hannah, Seventh Void, and Dommin. The tour kicks off July 4 in El Paso, Texas, and runs through July 27 in San Francisco.
+ Killswitch Engage's forthcoming self-titled album will be released in two forms; one will just be the album, as the band intended it, and a special edition of the disc will boast four bonus tracks, including "In a Dead World," and three live cuts: "My Curse," "Rose of Sharyn," and "Holy Diver." It will also come with a bonus DVD, with exclusive interviews and a making-of documentary. Look for it June 30.
+ Megadeth are done tracking their forthcoming disc, and frontman Dave Mustaine couldn't be giddier. "We're just right now finishing the last couple of notes on the new record, and... man, this has been a long, grueling, enduring process but it's been so worth it, and I'm so excited. I'm more excited about this record then I've been in any record since back in the 1980s." The disc will hit stores September 1.
