Bury Your Dead Talk 'Pedal to the Metal' Tour, Sort of

A few weeks back, we had the dudes from Bury Your Dead in the offices, and they were psyched for some massive tour they'd been booked on for this summer. Only, they wouldn't provide us with any specific details.
"We're not at liberty to speak about it yet," commented guitarist Brendan "Slim" MacDonald, "but we're doing big things. I'm not being cocky when I say this, we just got lucky. It's just a tour with a bunch of big bands. We can't say much more."
We now know that the tour they were referring to is the Pedal to the Metal Tour, anchored by Mudvayne and Black Label Society, and also featuring Static-X, Suicide Silence, Dope, and Hellzapoppin. When pressed for more details, Slim added, "All I can say is, it's about f---ing time. It starts in July, runs for two months, and it's an arena tour. To say we're not excited would be a lie. It's going to be fun."
With Ozzfest taking this summer off, Pedal to the Metal may end up being a fine alternative, especially for BLS fans who've seen the band live every summer for the last decade.
"I want to get on the top of the highest mountain, with a parking cone, and tell everyone," Slim adds. "Its one of the biggest tours we've ever done, and we've done some big tours. This is not necessarily a festival tour. Its headlined by a band that we've always liked, and they've done cool things for heavy music in general."
Tickets for the trek go on sale this Friday at 10AM ET.
