Aaron Harris of Isis Talks Twitter
Like Nine Inch Nails tech guru Trent Reznor and the yoga pumping Chris Cornell, Aaron has been using Twitter to get to know the fans of his band better. "I think it's great. Beyond being a musician, I can post my miles from my bike riding or whatever I'm doing and in turn I can hear what my fans are doing, what they're up to. I think it's a much deeper way to connect with people than on things like MySpace or a Facebook," Aaron said.
Aaron continued on the amazement of Twitter as a streaming live news source, "So many articles are coming out about Twitter, and the impact it has on society. The Hudson plane crash for instance, someone on the plane Twittered that the plane was going down. That was the first official break of that news."
Noisecreep asked Aaron if he follows any of the celebrities or joke fake accounts on Twitter. He told us, "I follow Batman, Rain Wilson who plays Dwight on 'The Office.' I follow a lot of athletes. I follow Lance Armstrong. I follow a couple of cycling teams. I really enjoy that because those are my rock stars. I am able to hear what they are doing and that's really cool for me. Not that I am a rock star, but you know what I mean." For Aaron, sports have always been a thing of passion for him, when growing up in Massachusetts he nearly made the decision to purse the path to become an athlete over the path of being a drummer.
