Scott Ian Remembers That Michael Jackson 'Loved Zombies'
While the late, great Michael Jackson wasn't exactly a figure in the metal scene, one crucial, essential piece of his enduring legacy - the visually stunning "Thriller" video - has an indirect link to metal and that's the fact that it featured zombies, which are much more metallic than they are pop oriented. Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian offered his thoughts on Jackson's passing to Noisecreep while on tour in Europe saying, "Besides the musical, dance and technical genius of the man, and the influence he's had on four decades of artists, Michael loved zombies!"
Michael Jackson died Thursday in Los Angeles, at the age of 50.
