Uncertain Future for Thin Lizzy
The future of Irish bred-band Thin Lizzy is up in the air.
Guitar virtuoso and singer John Sykes has split from the group. In the short term, the remaining members of Thin Lizzy have canceled their summer tour, including many festival appearances.
Thin Lizzy guitarist Scott Gorham issued a statement on the situation, talking about the band's trying summer with the departure of Sykes and drummer Tommy Aldridge's collarbone injury. Gorham also reached out to fans. "I can only apologize to everyone who has supported us over the years, but we will be back up to full speed soon!"
In March, Thin Lizzy released 'Still Dangerous: Live At The Tower Theatre Philadelphia, 1977.' The disc is a compilation of two live concerts during the band's classic period with Phil Lynott at the helm.
