Fight Erupts During Killswitch Engage Show, Ends With Cheers

No day off is really a day off on the Mayhem Fest. Killswitch Engage, Job For A Cowboy and Whitechapel are playing venues together on their day off and last night, the bands shook the rafters of Central Jersey's Starland Ballroom, located in Sayerville, N.J., which has been affectionately christened "Slayerville," by the natives and the DJs of local metal station, WSOU.

Job For A Cowboy's assault-on-the-senses music set the stage for the headlining Killswitch Engage, with each member and the entire crew sporting tuxedo shirts. The sardine-packed bodies made the venue feel soggy and oversold and when a fight broke out during KsE's set, burly, self-deprecating frontman Howard Jones asked, "How does anyone get into a fight at one of our shows? I write the gayest lyrics ever," which resulted in a round of cheers.
