New Psyopus Video Has Visuals as Brutal as Its Music
A brutal song deserves a brutal video, and Psyopus have one-upped themselves since their premiere of 'The Burning Halo' about three months ago. The video featured a lot of live footage, but their latest premiere -- which is exclusively on Ultimate Guitar -- for the song 'Duct Tape Smile' is everything you'd hope for from an avant-garde metal band from way upstate New York. The video was filmed in Cophenhagen, Denmark, and it features a female photographer intrigued by grotesque scenes of daily accidents and incidents occurring in the world around her. She eventually becomes engrossed and obsessed, becoming more of a cause than a coincidental spectator. And it eventually eats her up in a way that 'literally' just doesn't suffice.
This is the second video from their album, 'Odd Senses,' which came out in February on Metal Blade Records. Here's to hoping they hit the road again soon.
