Faith No More U.S. Tour Is Coming

When rumors started swirling late last year that Faith No More would be reuniting for a few live shows, none of the influential band's American fans ever imagined those concerts would happen abroad. Faith No More has, since announcing its reunion, played a bunch of gigs in Europe and have a ton planned for South America and Australia. But so far, America has been ignored.But earlier this summer, more rumors started flying, suggesting Faith No More would, indeed, be touring the U.S. -- but not until 2010. Not only that, but the rumor further alleged that none other than Tool would be the opening act for Faith No More's American dates.
Until this week, those rumors were largely unsubstantiated. But now, it looks like Faith No More may have saved the best for last.
According to a Twitter message posted by the band's bassist, Billy Gould, Faith No More is 'now actively planning U.S. dates." It remains to be seen whether Tool will open, although it seems unlikely. Gould, who is the band's official spokesperson, added that dates would be announced soon.
The band's sudden revival has inspired some speculation that an album may be in the works. Faith No More's last release, 'Album of the Year,' dropped in 1997. Back in June, Rhino Records released 'The Very Best Definitive Ultimate Greatest Hits Collection.' This double-disc set contains the band's greatest hits along with B-sides and rarities.
