Foxy Shazam Ink Major Label Deal With Sire
After a short stint on hardcore/metalcore label Ferret Music, where they released 'Introducing' in 2008, Cincinnati's Foxy Shazam are movin' on up. The super experimental sextet -- who were never typical Ferret fare, yet still exhibited musical electricity -- have signed to Sire within the Warner Bros. family and will release their label debut, which they are currently finishing, sometime in 2010.Frontman Eric Nally confidently told Noisecreep, "This band has been going step by step our whole career, never skipped one, never took the elevator. Warner Bros. is definitely a tall refreshing glass of water, but there is still a long way to climb until we get to the top." The steps Nally speaks of include basement and bar shows that helped build the band's rep.
