Motley Crue Look Back on Songs, Videos -- Part Two

Mötley Crüe might be on a break from touring, but that isn't stopping the iconic rockers from releasing a new greatest hits album. Titled 'Greatest Hits,' the updated best-of package hits stores Nov. 17. Drummer Tommy Lee recently took a trip down memory lane and Noisecreep was invited along for the ride. Below, his musings on some of the Crüe's best loved songs and videos.

'Afraid' -- from the 1997 release 'Generation Swine'

"'Afraid' has always been one of my favorite songs. The video is insanely trippy. Actually, this was the first time Nikki and I sat down in the same room with the editor and director and got to work directly on all the after effects and post-production elements. The outcome was rad and the video remains one of my favorites."

'Saints of Los Angeles' -- from the 2008 release of the same name:

"We recorded this record ['Saints of Los Angeles'] years after 'Dr. Feelgood,' and it always amazes me to think about how the recording process has changed and evolved over the years. All the drums on this record were electronic triggers with acoustic sounds, and it's just crazy that you're able to do that stuff now and still deliver the same quality and effectiveness as acoustic drums."

'Live Wire' -- from the 1981 debut release 'Too Fast For Love:'

"We produced the album, 'Too Fast For Love' as a band with Michael Wagoner and at this time, I was living -- or should I say just 'partying' - in the Motley house on Clark Street [in Los Angeles]. I was young, broke, but having fun!"

'If I Die Tomorrow' -- from the 2005 double-disc compilation 'Red, White and Crüe:'

"Bob Rock had been working with this band Simple Plan and brought us this tune. We all heard it and Nikki did the 'Nikki thing' to it and made some heavy lyrical and musical changes."

'Greatest Hits' will be released via Eleven Seven/Red records.
