"'He Is Never Coming Back' is an unapologetic and unforgiving loss of patience," frontman Gaza Jon Parkin told Noisecreep. "Listeners may not find this record as hectic as the last, but it is certainly every bit as grumpy."
Further putting things into an ammunition context, Parkin said, "'If I Don't Care Where I Go When I Die' is a Mac 10, this is a sawed-off shotgun. We were in and out of the studio recording and mixing over a seven month span due to band turmoil, scheduling, the elections and the disappointing Utah Jazz season, so we needed some time to mourn. I hope you enjoy it as much as we stressed out making it."
