Travis Smith Out as Trivium Drummer?

Reports are currently circulating that "Trivium have acrimoniously parted ways with drummer Travis Smith." While unconfirmed at this point, it appears the Floridian metallers have parted ways with the longtime drummer who sat out the band's most recent tour.
Smith did not travel with Trivium on their most recent trek with Chimaira, Whitechapel and Dirge Within in order to tend to "personal business," and the band enlisted Maruta drummer and former Trivium drum tech Nick Augusto to fill in.
An official statement on the matter is expected this week. Until then, the rumor should be taken with a grain of salt.
Last month, when Trivium frontman Matt Heafy was a guest on Noisecreep's ''Creep Show' podcast, the singer dodged questions about Smith's status in the band and would not comment on the matter other than to say, "Unfortunately, all we can say is he's not on this tour and we hope everything is going amazingly ... that's the only PR response I'll be forced to say."

matt is a puss, he and palo told travis he wasn't good enough to play with them..without trivium there is no TRIVIUM. matt didn't even know what trivium ment when Travis came up with the name..they will go nowhere without travis.. goodbye.. Trivium

Hey cutnqueen...where did you hear that they told Travis that?! B/c some of us actually care about our favorite band and want to hear the truth. SO if you're making stuff up don't spead that stuff where people actually care.
We'll see where Trivium goes. I wish them all the best of luck, Trivium and Travis.

I heard Travis quit b/c he got married and needed to focus on his family and all that. I definitely still respect Trivium and Travis, but I definitely don't respect people like "cutnqueen" who just talk shit about bands that revolutionize music.
I have no doubt in my mind that Trivium will still kick ass!
