Another Breath, 'Belly of a Whale' -- Killer Lyrics

Killer Lyric: It never matters 'cause the sheep are all blind / And if the Devil had a face it would look like mine
Another Breath vocalist Ted gives his fans some basic theology lessons 'Belly of the Whale.' "That line basically draws from the concept that struck me once that if the Devil existed, he wouldn't have horns," Ted told Noisecreep. "He'd be charming and flashy. Evil doesn't look evil. It's tempting, it's shiny and it's attractive. It's smart enough to disguise itself as something that you think you want."
Musically, the Syracuse, N.Y. band's newest effort, 'The God Complex,' combines elements from different branches of hard music: punk, hardcore, rock and metal. The album's theme, however, is more unified -- and though one might think it's about religion from the lyric selection above, it is deeply and humbly soul-bearing.
"Part of what the god complex is about," Ted explained of the lyrics. "Is how I'm coming to terms with being a legitimate narcissist. People kid me about it, but it's true. The thing is though that behind the front is complete bulls---. I can be charming and flashy and whatever else, but it just makes me a better bulls--- artist."
Ted also writes about the concepts behind and the making of 'The God Complex.'
