Def Leppard Cartoon Series In Development

Look! Up in the sky. It's a bird! Wait, or is it a plane? No, it's ... Def Leppard?!? That's right, kids. The British hard rock legends will be coming to TV screens near you in the not-so-distant future -- but they'll be animated.
According to reports, Def Lep are developing a cartoon TV show as part of their wide-ranging deal with music publishing company Primary Wave. The cartoon is in the early stages of production and has not been pitched to any networks yet. The report claims the cartoon will depict the five members of the band in a fictional, adventurous setting.
Primary Wave is also developing Def Leppard-themed video game and cell phone applications, which Primary Wave CEO Larry Mestel called "unusual."
Def Leppard spent the better part of the summer of 2009 on the road with Cheap Trick and Poison, but the band canceled the third leg of its North American tour just last month, citing unforeseen personal matters.
