Gilby Clarke "Still Can't Stand" After Hit-And-Run Accident
According to reports, Clarke, who's also known for his brief stint with television-concocted rockers Rock Star Supernova, broke one of his legs in three places, and needs to be transferred to another facility before he can go under the knife. He posted an update to his Twitter Jan. 12 that "both [of his] legs are injured." The exact extent of his injuries is unclear, but friends of the rocker are coming to his defense.
One such friend is former 'Headbangers Ball' host Riki Rachtman, who says "it's a pretty gnarly break" and wants people to contact him if they know anything about the accident. His account of the accident claims things went down at around 5 PM PT, when Clarke was motoring through Sherman Oaks, Calif.
"He was riding south on Woodman and at the intersection of Moorpark, some idiot turned left right in front of him," Rachtman explains. "Gilby hit the passenger side of the vehicle. The driver took off. Here is what we know so far. [The vehicle was a pickup] truck, light color tan perhaps silver. There was a male driver and possibly a female passenger [who] could be Hispanic, but not sure. The truck looked fairly new and has damage on the passenger side."
Rachtman wants people to reach out to him on Twitter if they have any information at all about the accident. Let's hope someone caught a license plate number.
