Russian Circles Announce European Tour

Russian Circles are not a band that slows down -- not at any point -- and with bassist Brian Cook no longer sharing his time with the now defunct These Arms Are Snakes, expect the grandiose instrumental band to be on the road much more. And if you're in Europe, expect the band to hit a stage near you next month.

This will be the band's first tour to Europe since 2008, but now they're returning in support of their album 'Geneva.' Since May, the band's third long player has been getting buried in praise by new and old fans alike.

'Geneva' is a record that translates live, which is normally a feet for any instrumental band of thick layering, but with Russian Circles live there is no clarified mutterings of 'you should hear this song on the record.' This was how the band wanted the album. "We went out of our way to make it sound nasty, not lo-fi," Sullivan explained. "But rough around the edges, so it sounds more like a live record."

More dates should be expected for this trip over the ocean. Currently Russian Circles have only one U.S. show booked: a free show in Iowa.
