Them Crooked Vultures Prepping Second LP
"We'll do a second album this year," Jones says. "By the end of summer, something like that ... We're all hard workers. In a way we need to do this for ourselves. Once we committed to it, we worked as hard as a young band would, put the hours in. It's got to be good -- we've got reputations to uphold more than anything else."
This follows Homme's recent revelation that a sophomore studio effort was on the way. "We love playing in this [band]. We have such a good time together, and it's fun and it feels like we're obligated to risk and challenge ourselves," he said.
This weekend, Them Crooked Vultures will be in New York to appear as the musical guests on NBC's 'Saturday Night Live.' The Vultures will wrap up their current tour on Feb. 8 at New York City's Roseland Ballroom, and are set to play Coachella on April 16.
