Overkill, 'Bring Me the Night' -- Video Premiere

To celebrate the release of their new album 'Ironbound,' New Jersey thrash metal titans Overkill present the album's first video 'Bring Me the Night.'

The performance video was shot in Brooklyn, N.Y. on Jan. 9, and directed by Kevin Custer (Hatebreed, Testament). The clip features closeups of hands sawing at guitars, pedals slamming bass drums, wide-mouthed vocal screams and splashes from spotlights that pan across vocalist Bobby 'Blitz' Ellsworth, bassist D.D. Verni, guitarists Dave Linsk and Derek 'The Skull' Tailer and drummer Ron Lipnicki.

"Doing 'Bring Me the Night' was a killing experience," Ellsworth told Noisecreep. "It's key for us to be represented in the correct light, and light is the key here."

To achieve the proper lighting for the shoot, Custer used a variety of techniques, alternatively shooting the band lit from the front, back and the side. "It really adds to the chaotic feel," Ellsworth said. "This is a true bombastic light in the dark performance versus space."

Overkill will launch their 25th anniversary North American tour, Killfest 2010, on April 1 in Philadelphia. Dates run through May 1 in New York. Vader, Warbringer Evil, God Dethroned and Woe of Tyrants will open.
