Metro Station Aren't Trying to Be a Rock Band

Over the past few months, a few metal bands that have spoken to Noisecreep have namechecked Metro Station as one of the things that is wrong with music nowadays -- thanks to the not-so-organic feel and vibe of the sound. Metro Station, featuring Miley Cyrus' brother Trace on vocals and guitars, have had shots taken at them multiple times in the press.
But it doesn't phase Cyrus in the slightest. It's all in a day's work. He said to Noisecreep, "We're a synth-pop band. That last thing I'm trying to do is rock or metal music. I'm trying to make something the world has never experienced before. It doesn't bother me, though. I just know I'm becoming more famous. It's an honor."
