Linkin Park Opening Their Bootleg Archives to Fans
The band will launch the 'LP Archives: Official Tour Bootlegs' through their official Web site. The archives include more than 100 professional live concert recordings, captured during 2007 and 2009. The 'LP Archives' will open to the public on March 17 at downloads.linkinpark.com, but members of the band's fan club, Linkin Park Underground, will be able to access the site right now and receive a 25 percent discount on their purchase. Live concert recordings will be offered for $9.99 for each concert, with bundle deals available.
"We originally decided that it would be cool to let our fans buy a recording of the show they just attended," Linkin Park drummer Rob Bourdon explains. "Once we saw the positive response to that, we figured it would be even better to make all of the shows available to anyone who would like to download them. We wanted to make the highest quality recordings available to all of our fans."
Linkin Park recently released a video for their track 'Not Alone,' which was recorded specifically for 'Download to Donate for Haiti,' compilation album by Music for Relief, a non-profit organization established by Linkin Park in 2005 to help victims of natural disasters to help them recover from such disasters. The video for the clip features studio performance footage and images from the Haitian earthquake devastation.
