Disturbed, Avenged Sevenfold Rumored For Uproar Tour
The Toronto Sun is reporting that the three bands will team up for the tour, which will be passing through Canada August 24 at the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre in Toronto, Ontario. Of course, none of this information has been confirmed yet, but a Web site for the tour is expected to be launched soon. More dates will be announced soon.
It's a believable rumor. After all, Disturbed recently entered a Chicago studio to start recording their fifth album, which should be out this summer. The group has not yet announced a title for the disc, which follows 2008's 'Indestructible.' Avenged Sevenfold, who suffered the loss of drummer Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan late last year, also has a new album in the works, with drum tracks handled by Dream Theater's Mike Portnoy. Stone Sour also have a new album on the way.
According to Disturbed's Dan Donegan, the band's written close to 20 songs for the new effort. "We definitely go in there very prepared," Donegan claims. "We never enter the studio unless we feel like, right now, if these are the songs we record, that we would have an album that we're proud of and we're excited about. And we put everything under the microscope and examine it the best we can to make sure that we're prepared. We don't like going in there wasting time. We go in there to work, and to try to make the best album we can."
Disturbed will reissue their debut album, 'The Sickness,' on March 23. The set will feature new art and several B-sides.
