Only a band since 2009, Son of Aurelius have made some notable heads turn very quickly to their blend of death metal. The reason has been not just the sheer force and brutality of the Santa Cruz band -- that's there, don't worry. It's the band's fearless treks into melodic guitar work and stellar songwriting normally not given it's due in the quest for the best blast beat part.
'Myocardial Infarction,' which you can download over at AOL Radio, is not a genre-bending song; it's all visceral in its attack, giving everyone just a taste of what to expect from 'The Farthest Reaches' on April 13.
