New album notwithstanding, there's been plenty of mystery surrounding the status of 108 lately, whether they are truly breaking up or remaining a band. While they are sticking together for now, the drama can put an interesting spin on the song lyrics to the Boston-based hardcore band's latest release, '10.61.'
In describing the song lyrics to the first single off of '10.61', the band -- in keeping with their very un-rock 'n' roll view of the world and unorthodox wordsmithing -- wrote a poem for Noisecreep readers to ponder.
"Time.
Time is god.
The dark face of God.
The Satan of God. All powerful.
Death is the arm of Time, the arm of God.
We debate 'does god exist' while the clock ticks and death stares in our face.
We are blind."
