Nominon 'Monumentomb' Tour Dates
Nominon will be touring to support the recent release of their fourth album, 'Monumentomb,' which was produced by Tore Stjerna late last year at Necromorbus Studio in Stockholm, Sweden. Since Gartopft quit shortly before Nominon were scheduled to enter the studio, the album was recorded with guest vocalists Erik Sahlström (Maze of Torment) and Johan 'Barsk' Thornberg.
The band has been plugging away since 1993, when guitarist Juha Sulasalmi and vocalist Peter Nilsson joined forces. Several demo tapes cemented their position in the Swedish underground, and then in February 1996 the band's big break came when, for their first live show ever, they were invited to open for Dissection and Dismember in Stockholm.
Nominon released their debut full-length 'Diabolical Bloodshed' in late 1999. Illness and lineup shifts caused a long delay before the band resurfaced in 2005 with the album 'Recremation.' While original vocalist Peter Nilsson left Nominon after their first demo, he remained in touch with Sulasalmi and actually came up with the title of the group's 2007 album 'Terra Necrosis.'
Before they started working on 'Monumentomb,' Nominon released the four-track EP 'Omen,' which featured Sulasami, Sahlström and Thornberg, as well as a live track by Gartopft.
