Infectious Grooves, 'Funk It Up & Punk It Up: Live in France '95' -- New Album
The set was recorded by soundman Tom Abraham straight from the board during a concert in Lyon, France. The recording features no overdubs or other sound alterations. For the European tour, all the band members pulled double duty, performing first with Infectious Grooves, then with Cyco Miko. The two bands reveal the funked-up alter ego of Muir and his main band Suicidal Tendencies.
"Sex Pistols and Parliament were my two favorite bands when I was young," Muir said. "People think they're completely different, but I saw a lot of similarities, even if musically they were categorized as completely different styles. There's something beautiful about breaking rules that never should have been made."
Look for the fifth Infectious Grooves studio album -- and first since 2000's 'Mas Borracho' -- later this year.
