Ozzy Osbourne Classics to Be Reissued, Alongside Randy Rhoads DVDs

Ozzy Osbourne fans will have a lot to be thankful for this November. The singer's first two solo albums, 1980's 'Blizzard of Ozz' and 1981's 'Diary of a Madman,' will be 30 years old and will be re-released with some special additions. "They definitely are coming out this year," says Sharon Osbourne. "They're coming out for Thanksgiving. They'll be on the market then."

Both albums had been reissued in 2002 with the bass and drums tracks by Bob Daisley and Lee Kerslake replaced by Robert Trujillo and Mike Bordin, respectively, due to "abusive and unjust behaviour," Sharon reportedly said at the time.

Today there is no mention of that, and the 30th anniversary editions are "going back to the original recordings with Daisley and Kerslake," she says. "There will be a lot of stuff that you haven't heard before in the packages, certain conversations that were going on in the studio at that time when the guys were just messing around while the tape was still rolling. All of that will be added in."

She also confirms that there will be two DVDs, featuring late guitarist Randy Rhoads, who died in 1982 in a plane crash. He had joined Ozzy's band in 1979 and played on 'Blizzard of Ozz' and 'Diary of a Madman.'

"We've got two different shows in the archives that we're working on right now," says Sharon. "Of course, in those days I think the tapes were up to 20 minutes and then you had to change the tape, so we're trying to clean it up and make sense of it. We're working on it, along with another film that we have with Randy so it will all be boxed together. It will be a great piece to have for the real fan."
