Adai, 'Feo De Se' -- Album Art of the Week

Adai"I'm big on shooting abandoned structures," photographer Andrew Weiss told Noisecreep of his work for Denver's progressive, mostly-kinda-instrumental Adai. "The textures, the aging, along with the wear and tear. The lonesome abandoned atmosphere, makes me feel right at home. There's something incredibly beautiful about these forgotten structures, that I stumble into. I enjoy bringing out the beauty of dark, and shedding light on them once again."

Adai's second release, 'Feo De Se,' picks up where the duo left off with 'I Carry' and their dense, sweeping, atmospherically melodic heaviness. New York City based artist Seldon Hunt, who has done layouts for the likes of Isis and Amen Ra, assembled Weiss' work for packaging.

"Basically I used these [photos] as the basis to create a photo montage of a desolate space," Hunt explained to Noisecreep, "a place of forbidden decay and memories. Rather than just use the straight photos, the montage was created to give it a dream like quality, or a sense of fleeting moments or transitional memories."

'Feo De Se' is being released by Cavity Records.
