Corey Taylor Moonlights in Vegas With Junk Beer Kidnap Band
Multifaceted lead vocalist Corey Taylor -- of Slipknot and Stone Sour fame -- will play a pair of shows in Vegas on July 16 and 17 with his latest makeshift project, Junk Beer Kidnap Band. The concerts will take place at Hard Rock's Wasted Space and will feature a backing band composed of "a crack squad of aloof yet courageous bastards." According to Taylor, the Junk Beer Kidnap Band are "the first stoner rock disco funk band." He added, "The music is basically a cross between Sabbath, Prince and Zappa."
In addition to booking Taylor's ad-hoc group, the Hard Rock Hotel will honor Taylor on July 15 by unveiling a display case featuring masks and uniforms he's worn over the years with Slipknot.
