Metallica, 'Kill 'Em All' -- Red Vinyl Reissue
Warner Bros. and MetClub.com will offer up an incredibly limited, deluxe edition of the classic Metallica platter 'Kill 'Em All' on red vinyl. It's a highly collectible piece, boasting a double gatefold, two-disc, 180 gram, 45 RPM version and is half speed mastered from the original analog tapes at Mobile Fidelity for the ultimate listening experience!Only 1,000 copies of this special set were pressed and were never released to retail, so this record is beyond valuable. More info will be available July 15 at 1 PM PT. Metallica fan club members will get first crack at scoring the precious vinyl via the MetClub.com site.
The red vinyl makes sense, since the 'Kill 'Em All' album cover is splattered with blood. The album was originally released on July 25, 1983, so the double vinyl comes just under its 27th anniversary. Happy birthday, 'Kill 'Em All.'
