Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Experience Launching Tour

The ultimate Led Zeppelin tribute band will come to North America this fall and will feature Zeppelin drummer John Bonham's son. Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Experience will perform 30 shows full of Led Zep classics accompanied by a multimedia presentation to commemorate the 30th anniversary of his father's death. Bonham died from choking on his own vomit after a drinking binge on Sept. 25, 1980.

Jason Bonham, who played with the surviving members of Led Zeppelin at the band's London O2 Arena reunion show in 2007, decided to put together his own tribute to his late dad after seeing the show 'Rain, a Tribute to the Beatles.' Bonham has joined forces with Annerin Productions -- the critically acclaimed producers of both 'Rain' and 'The Pink Floyd Experience' -- to create a visual and auditory spectacle.

A high-tech sound system and light show will accompany Bonham's performance, and giant screens will project home movies and photos, as well as art designs to compliment the music.

"I remember when I went to see Led Zeppelin live in 1979 at Knebworth, there were certain songs that stood out to me and will stay with me forever," Bonham said. "I will also share other big moments in my life, time with my Dad and my relationship with the band. The show is far from being 'just another tribute band.' I want to make the show as personal as I can and show how much Led Zeppelin means to me."

Bonham also plays in the supergroup Black Country Communion, which also features vocalist Glenn Hughes, guitarist Joe Bonamassa and keyboardist Derek Sherinian.

Why does every artice regarding LZ state how Bonham died? Unfortunately, it the one thing people remember about the band, not their music. I don't know of any other artist/group that gets that kind of treatment. All LZ fans know how Bonham died. Can the media stop talking about how Bonham died and discuss his and the band's career instead?
