Unreleased Dio Song to Be Included on 'Magica' Reissue

Ronnie James Dio Christmas cardGary Miller, FilmMagic

The late Ronnie James Dio recorded a track with Dio bandmate Craig Goldy shortly before his death last May, and according to Goldy, the song will see the light of day. In an interview with Classic Rock, Goldy said that he and Dio were working on new tunes up until the singer's death from cancer.

Additionally, 200's 'Magica' album will be re-released next year with bonus tracks, including this precious Dio song, the lyrics of which reference Dio's illness and all that he dealt with while dying of stomach cancer.

In case you've had your head buried in the sand over the band few months, another of Dio's final tracks is the appropriately-titled 'Metal Will Never Die,' which he recorded with his cousin, David "Rock" Feinstein. You can learn more about that by watching this episode of the ''Creep Show.'
