Word Alive Bassist Nick Urlacher Leaves the Band
"We had the best of times and the worst of times, but we were together playing music and touring the country together. We're friends who will always be there for one another no matter the price. This period of my life has changed me in ways that I would have never imagined!"
The band saw their friend off, saying, "sometimes people have to choose the path that is right for them." The remaining members of the Word Alive have assured fans that no shows will be missed as they do an open audition for Urlacher's replacement. Filling the spot on the band's next tour will be Daniel Shapiro from Sharks Never Sleep.
Taking their time to find the perfect fit, the band has asked anyone who thinks they would work to contact them. The requirements include being over 18, having national touring experience, having a strong work ethic, professional gear and, of course, being able to play both the Word Alive releases, 'Deceiver' and 'Empire.'
Beginning Jan. 6, the Word Alive will hit the road with We Came as Romans and For Today.
