Van Halen Guitar Headed to Smithsonian Institution

Frank 2 -- a replica version of Eddie Van Halen's signature red, white and black 'Frankenstein' guitar that was actually used during Van Halen's 2007-2008 reunion tour with original vocalist David Lee Roth -- is headed to the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History.

EVH constructed the guitar himself more than 30 years ago. The guitar is viewed by museum curators as a contemporary piece, and that is why the axe is being preserved.
