Disturbed's John Moyer Says Band Is 'Not Overthinking' Things

With their 10th anniversary in the rear view -- which was commemorated by their fourth number one album in a row -- Disturbed are able to write their own ticket. They will wrap their current tour with Korn and will spend their summer vacation as a main stage attraction on Rock Star Energy Drink Mayhem Festival.

The sky is the limit for Disturbed, who've put themselves in the enviable position of being able to do whatever they want, whenever they want. But bassist John Moyer said the band is taking things one day at a time.

"We have five records in 10 years and have toured behind every one," Moyer told Noisecreep. "It's our 11th year as a band, so it has been a breakneck pace to write, go in the studio, tour for a year and it's been good. We like working that way. That keeps us going, having that hard work ethic.

"I don't know what's next, though. We're not over-thinking it. Oftentimes, when we get to the end of a touring cycle, we say, 'Let's take a break.' And that'll last all of two months. And before you know it, we're writing again or in the studio. We will see how it goes. Who knows, once Mayhem ends, if the juices flow, we might jump on horse again or take real break. It's hard to tell. If we do take a break, it'd be our first in 10 years. We will just roll with it."

He's overthinking one thing... "It's our 11th year as a band" AS IF he's been with them the whole time. They should take a long break, like forever. Creativity sunk to shit without Fuzz.
