Bloodbath Take No Prisoners on 'Eaten' -- Video Premiere
Magnus Jonsson
When you can count vocalist Mikael Åkerfeldt (Opeth), guitarists Anders Nyström and Per Eriksson (Katatonia), bassist Jonas Renkse (Katatonia), and drummer Martin Axenrot (Opeth) in your band's lineup, you definitely have the right to brag. However, death metal supergroup Bloodbath would rather let their violent riff assaults and blasphemous lyrics do the talking.
Bloodbath's three studio albums and two EPs have garnered Bloodbath lots of love in the metal press, while their rare live appearances have become a thing of legend in certain circles. On April 25th, the band will release 'Bloodbath Over Bloodstock,' a live DVD filmed in August 2010 at the famed Bloodstock festival in the UK. The set finds the band revisiting tracks from their entire catalog, including stunners from their 2008 masterpiece, 'The Fathomless Mastery.'
Noisecreep is proud to present the exclusive premiere of 'Eaten,' taken from the 'Bloodbath Over Bloodstock' DVD. Our more twisted readers may remember the song from the band's 'Nightmares Made Flesh' album.
Besides a punishing live set, 'Bloodbath Over Bloodstock' also comes with a 16-page booklet, bonus footage taken from the PartySan Festival in 2008, as well as extensive band member interviews.
After forming in 1998 with the sole purpose of paying homage to the '80s death metal they loved, the members of Bloodbath have found a way to build their discography despite their hectic schedules and other projects.
'Bloodbath Over Bloodstock' will hit stores on April 25th via Peaceville Records.
