Heart-Set Self-Destruct Feel the Pain on 'Rain' -- Song Premiere
Since forming in 2005, Heart-Set Self-Destruct have become one of Chicago's most popular hard rock acts. Opening for bands like Flyleaf, Story of the Year, and Framing Hanley, the four piece has won over crowds with their radio-ready choruses and magnetic stage presence. Their self-released 2007 debut album 'Victims Like Me' sold over 5,000 copies, landing Heart-Set Self-Destruct several dates on the 2008 Vans Warped Tour.
Last year, Heart-Set Self-Destruct hooked up with producer Dan Malsch to record 'Of Nightmares,' their newest album. Noisecreep presents the premiere of 'Rain,' a track from their new 'Of Nightmares' teaser EP.
Heart-Set Self-Destruct vocalist-guitarist Dave Naruszewicz recently told Noisecreep about the inspiration behind 'Rain.'
"The lyrics in 'Rain' are like my goodbye to happiness," he said. "It's about what happens when pain overcomes every aspect of your life. It's the feeling of hopelessness when your life, your dreams, and your world, start coming undone right before your eyes and there's nothing you can do about it. It's written from what I imagine would be the pain's perspective."
Heart-Set Self-Destruct's 'Of Nightmares' album will be out in the fall.
