Hello, Cleveland! Canadian prog masterminds Rush are working on a new concert film DVD. MusicTap.net reports that the DVD is due out on September 27th. While the release is without a title at press time, it features the band's April 15th, 2011 performance in Cleveland.
Singer Geddy Lee said that the project "feels like full circle to me" since the band has never shot an entire film in America, which has embraced the band as if it were comprised of natives. So why did Lee, drummer Neil Peart, and guitarist Alex Lifeson choose to document a show in Cleveland? According to Lee, the city is "where [their] entire American adventure began" after a DJ in the city was the first to spin Rush's music in America.
