Mastodon have issued an official press release revealing that the follow-up album to 'Crack the Skye' will be called 'The Hunter.' To celebrate, the band has unearthed a rare track from the 'Crack the Skye' sessions called 'Deathbound.' The previously unreleased song is available today as a download via the 2011 Adult Swim Singles Program.

As for 'The Hunter,' the Atlanta metal behemoth's sixth album is due out via Reprise in the fall. Previously announced song titles from 'The Hunter' include 'Curl of the Burl,' which is Noisecreep's personal favorite, along with 'Dry Bone Valley,' 'Blasteroids,' 'The Octopus Has No Friends,' 'All the Heavy Lifting' and 'Stargasm.'
More album details are reportedly on the way, but if you are in the mood for some new Masto merch to keep your Mastodon juices flowing, go here and nab the 'In the Teeth' tee.
