Danzig have canceled their entire South American tour due to travel complications.
The quartet is currently touring Europe and was scheduled to start its South American jaunt in Santiago, Chile on July 21st. Unfortunately, the band was forced to pull the dates due to logistical issues. An update on their official website reads: "Due to complications with travel that were beyond anyone's control, Danzig regretfully has had to cancel their tour of South America until a later time. Danzig regret any inconvenience to their fans and promise to return as soon as possible."
In other news from the band, Danzig will headline Chicago's Riot Fest on October 7th to perform a career-spanning show featuring sets of Danzig, Samhain and Misfits songs. None other than Doyle from the Misfits will be joining the band on guitar for the Misfits set. Other bands scheduled to perform include Social Distortion, Weezer, Descendents, and Helmet.
Mark Brooks [Adult Swim's 'Metalocalypse'] will be directing a television special called 'Danzig Legacy' over the summer in Los Angeles. No further details have been released.
