Hot Water Music Sign With Rise Records, Announce New Releases
Earshot Media
Rise Records has just announced the signing of Hot Water Music.
Formed in 1993, the Florida act went on to become one of the most popular and influential post-hardcore bands in history. In late 2005, after seven studio albums and countless EPs and singles, Hot Water Music announced that they would be going on hiatus. The next year the break became permanent with each member pursuing other musical opportunities.
On November 5, 2008, Hot Water Music announced that they would be reuniting to play three shows and working on a collaborative discography of all their releases. Since then the band has toured and made numerous festival appearances throughout the world. HWM will enter the studio this winter to record a new full-length which will be released worldwide on Rise with a targeted spring 2012 release date. In the meantime, the band will self-release a new 2-song 7" record in August, in support of their European headlining tour with Make Do And Mend.
HWM will also be headlining Riotfest in Philadelphia in September and The Fest in late October in their hometown of Gainesville, FL. Having already reached legacy band status, HWM has released countless amazing albums and has toured the world relentlessly over the last 15 years.
