Doro's '25 Years in Rock' to Finally See US Release in September
Justina Villanueva
Finally, a double dose of Doro will be available stateside.
When the 'All We Are' singer celebrated her 25th anniversary in 2008, she tore the roof off the ISS Dome in her hometown of Dusseldorf, German. 8,500 of Doro's closest friends attended the show, including onstage cameos by Overkill's Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth, Grave Digger's Chris Boltendahl, former Nightwish singer Tarja Turunen, Scorpions' Klaus Meine and Rudolf Schenker, Leaves Eyes' Liv Kristine, After Forever's Floor Jansen, Axel Rudi Pell and many others. It was a metal party like no other at the time.
The set was recorded and spawned the double disc '25 Years in Rock' DVD/CD set. The set will finally be released in the US on September 13th via Nuclear Blast.
The collections also includes outtakes from the singer's 2500th show! 2500 shows? Doro rocks like no other Teutonic metal princess can...except for maybe Arch Enemy's Angela Gossow and she has the stats to prove it.
To celebrate the US release of the '25 Years of Rock' set, Doro will perform a pair of shows in New York City and in Chicago. Doro will make the shows in the Big Apple and the Windy City special by featuring clips from the DVD, selling limited edition merch, participating in an autograph signing and by her performance, of course.
Hey, Doro, here's to 25 MORE years of rock!
The show dates and locations are as follows:
