Uh-oh. After Mötley Crüe's Tommy Lee and Poison's Bret Michaels were photographed posing with guns at a shooting range in North Carolina earlier this month, the authorities have launched a probe into the matter.
Why are the cops getting involved?
For starters, North Carolina law bans anyone with a felony conviction from purchasing, owning or controlling a firearm, with "controlling" being the operative word in this case. Local TV station WSOC-TV alerted the authorities about Lee and Michaels heading to the shooting range.
A representative for the station says, "The sheriff and local police chiefs didn't know about it until we brought it to their attention. It could be illegal if any of those men have criminal records that prohibits them from using guns."
Wow, someone at the TV station must have it out for Tommy Lee. Jeez!
