Lou Reed and Metallica Announce Collaboration Title

According to the pair's website (via Pitchfork), Metallica and Reed have named their upcoming record 'Lulu' after German expressionist writer Frank Wededkind's plays about a young abused dancer of the same name. Yes, you heard that right -- Metallica are making an album about a dancer. But ... It's probably going to be awesome. Reed recently told Vulture that "It's maybe the best thing done by anyone, ever. It could create another planetary system. I'm not joking, and I'm not being egotistical."
So that's probably enough evidence for you. But if not, you can check out Lou and Metallica's performance of 'Sweet Jane' below. 'Lulu' will be released on Nov. 1 in North America and October 31 worldwide. The suspense is sort of killing us.
