Anthrax's Charlie Benante and Scott Ian on Their Relationship With Joey Belladonna -- Video Exclusive
Matthew Rodgers
Anthrax are gearing up for one of the busiest 12 months of their three decade career. Next month the New York natives will release 'Worship Music,' their long-anticipated 10th studio album and the first to feature Joey Belladonna on vocals since 1990. The band will also be launching a headlining world tour which they'll announce details for in the coming weeks. If that weren't already enough, Anthrax will be playing Yankee Stadium along with Metallica, Slayer and Megadeth, as part of The Big 4 festival on Wednesday, September 14th.
Noisecreep was lucky enough to get an advanced copy of 'Worship Music' earlier this summer and we haven't been able to stop playing it since. The record finds the thrash pioneers in fighting shape with some of the most dynamic songwriting in their discography and an incendiary performance from Belladonna. Last month drummer Charlie Benante and founding guitarist Scott Ian stopped by Noisecreep's West Coast headquarters for a chat about the new album and everything else in Anthrax's universe. In this exclusive video clip, they talk about their relationship with Belladonna over the years.
Anthrax's 'Worship Music' is out on September 14th via Megaforce Records.
