Exchanging self-written vows yesterday (Oct. 1) at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles, the KISS bassist and actress Shannon Tweed finally tied the knot. The pair had been dating since 1985 and together have two grown-up children, both of whom attended Saturday's ceremony. Their 19-year-old daughter, Sophie, served as maid of honor and performed the Etta James classic 'At Last' -- an appropriate choice, given the length of her parents' courtship -- People.com reports.
Among the 400 guests on hand were Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, comedian Bill Maher and Simmons' KISS compadre Paul Stanley. Thanks to the magic of reality television, a much larger audience will soon get to witness the the matrimonial splendor, as the wedding will figure into the upcoming season of 'Gene Simmons Family Jewels,' which premieres Oct. 18.
