Kat Von D Working on Debut Album

She's already conquered the tattoo, reality show and cosmetics worlds. Now, celeb tattoo artist Kat Von D is recording her first album. Von D has great taste in music – she is a fan of bands like Fireball Ministry, H.I.M. and Mötley Crüe - so we wonder if she's going to be able to translate that love into quality tunes of her own.
Von D, who recently split with fiancée Jesse James for the second time this summer, told E! Online that the album will be full of "dark" and "romantic" songs. Would you expect anything less? Perhaps her musical buddies, like Ville Valo can offer an assist?
The reality TV star also thinks that she has a longer shelf life than many of her reality show peers, given the fact that she loves music so fervently. "I've been passionate about music all my life," she said. But passion aside, she also has experience. She revealed. "I've been playing classical piano since I was six, so I understand the form. It will be fun to be able to translate a message."
Von D's TLC show, 'LA Ink,' was canceled earlier this summer after four seasons.
