Hammers of Misfortune Leader Explains Lineup Changes -- Exclusive Video
This week one of the more inventive hard rock/metal acts around today, Hammers of Misfortune released a new album. '17th Street' is a nine song collection that finds the San Francisco sextet delivering the kinds of vocal melodies and instrumental nuances that get stuck inside your head long after the record leaves your turntable.
For '17th Street,' Hammers of Misfortune (guitarist/producer John Cobbett, percussionist Chewy Marzolo, organist Sigrid Sheie and bassist Max Barnett) are joined by two new members – guitarist/vocalist Leila Abdul-Rauf and vocalist Joe Hutton. Their chemistry in the studio is electric, yielding the group's finest work yet.
In this Noisecreep exclusive video, Cobbett talks to us about the membership changes and how it benefitted Hammers of Misfortune's new record.
