Nikki Sixx Reported Son Missing Even Though He Really Wasn't

TMZ reports that Sixx let the Sheriff's Department in Malibu know that his youngest son was MIA even though he believed that the child was at a friend's house. The authorities then went over to the friend's house and found Sixx's son; he had fled home after fighting with a member of the family. Once the deputies who sought him out let him know that his family was looking for him, he returned home.
Um, okay. Sounds like Sixx employed the tactic of reporting his son missing in order to send cops after him, and perhaps scare him straight and him to return to their abode?
