Mötley Crüe to Become First Hard Rock Act With Las Vegas Residency
MSO PR
If ever there was a band that was emblematic of the vices of Sin City, it's Mötley Crüe. Vince Neil, Tommy Lee, Nikki Sixx and Mick Mars, are the poster boys for rock 'n' roll excess, so who better than the Crüe to serve as the first hard rock band to take up a residency in Las Vegas?
After teasing fans for the past few days with hints about a big announcement, the Crüe officially confirmed the residency on 'Piers Morgan Tonight' earlier this evening. The band will begin the exclusive run of shows at the Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Vegas from Feb. 3 through Feb. 19.
"There's been bands like Santana and Elton John and these kinds of acts, but for us... Mötley Crüe, we're all about theater and about over-the-top stage show, so it's a perfect fit for us. So we're really, really excited," said Neil about the residency. "For us, we are all about theater and over the top stage show. It's perfect fit for us."
The Sunset Strip legends will perform four shows per week. The special shows will take place during a busy couple of weeks, as the Super Bowl, Valentine's Day and President's Day all fall within the time frame.
